Terms and Conditions
By initiating any form of tuition from Wise Minds Education Pty Ltd, you agree to the following terms and conditions:
Scheduling
Session times will be arranged with parents during student onboarding.
We will assume, unless you tell us otherwise, that students will continue in the same lessons from week to week. We endeavour to keep the schedule the same from term to term. The schedule will change at the start of each year.
We tutor through the school holidays. It will be assumed that students with regular lessons will attend during school holiday periods unless you tell us otherwise.
We do not tutor on Public Holidays or during the Christmas Shutdown Period. You will not be charged if your regular lesson falls during these times. If you would like to schedule a make-up session instead, please contact us. Any exceptions to this will be communicated directly to parents.
We will notify you in advance of the dates for the Christmas Shutdown Period each year.
The specific dates for the Christmas Shutdown Period will be communicated to parents with a minimum of 2 weeks’ notice.
If a student arrives late to a lesson, the session will still end at its scheduled time and the lesson will be charged for the full hour.
Students are expected to be picked up at the end time of the session. If students are left waiting for more than 10 minutes, WIse Minds Education has the right to charge parents for this time.
Cancellation
A minimum of 12 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule a lesson. Lessons cancelled with less than 12 hours' notice, or missed without notice, will be charged in full.
If we need to cancel a lesson for whatever reason, we will endeavour to give you as much notice as possible. You will be offered a refund, if applicable, or the opportunity to reschedule the lesson.
Unused prepaid sessions or packages are non-refundable unless otherwise agreed.
Payment and Invoicing
Invoices are issued every Friday evening for services rendered during the preceding 7 days.
Payment is due within 7 days of the invoice date.
Accepted payment methods include bank transfer, payment with card, or cash.
A late payment fee of $10 will apply to invoices that have been overdue for 7 days (i.e. more than 14 days after the invoice date).
We will suspend tutoring for any student(s) with more than three outstanding invoices.
If tutoring has been suspended due to outstanding invoices, we may ask that sessions be paid for in advance before tutoring is resumed.

No Guarantee
While our tutors will strive to help each student improve and succeed, we make no guarantees regarding academic performance or test results. Each student’s progress will depend on various factors such as effort, attendance, home study, and individual learning pace.
To the fullest extent permissible by law, Wise Minds Education Pty Ltd shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with the use of, or inability to use, our tutoring services. This includes, but is not limited to, loss of data, loss of profit, or any other commercial damages or losses, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Confidentiality, Privacy and Data Protection
We will securely store and use personal information in compliance with applicable data protection laws.
Tutors and clients must maintain confidentiality regarding the content of tutoring sessions and any shared information.
Changes to Terms and Conditions
We reserve the right to update these terms at any time.
Clients will be notified of changes in writing at least 14 days before they take effect.
